Church is not a building. Church is us - a fellowship of loving sinners and saints. It’s not that some of us are sinners and some are saints. All of us are sinners; and thanks to Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, we are saved; we are saints.
First Presbyterian Church has a long history of connecting with the community through many different events and organizations.
Our Mission Committee participates in many outreach programs both locally and beyond supporting the needs of those who are less fortunate. Programs such as Holiday food baskets and meals for the homeless are just a few of the ways we share the love of our Lord Jesus.
Our youth programs provide a safe, empowering, and peaceful place for area youth to come and feel the love or our Lord Jesus.
Our Congregational care committee supports our congregation and provides activities and opportunities for our congregation to grow in faith together. Congregational care committee facilitates Friends that holds monthly activity nights, Thursday Woman who meet monthly for lunch and fellowship, Men's group which meets weekly for fellowship and devotion, coffee hour after worship service, pot-luck meals for holidays, retreats and many other activities throughout the year.
Our church participates in a variety of fund raising efforts through the year.
We come to serve “even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve.” Matthew 20:28
